Cooling systems

We distribute CONSERFRIO, a cost-effective and economical refrigeration system from CONSERGRA, a Spanish company founded in 1969 for the preservation of cereals, seeds and other perishable products.

It offers a compact, portable unit that works by injecting high-pressure air. The CONSERFRIO refrigeration system allows the natural preservation of the crop through cooled and properly controlled air.

The cold, dry air is injected into the bottom of the bulk crop pile, causing a consistent extraction of hot, moist air from the top of the pile without altering its natural properties or composition.

Benefits

The solution significantly reduces weight loss and quality deterioration of the crop during storage. The seeds retain their high germination potential and, in the case of oil seeds, oxidation and loss of oil content and free fatty acid (FFA) are avoided.

CONSERFRIO also keeps out insects, mould and toxins through hygrometric control. It eliminates the need for chemicals and fume treatment, is easy to install, has lower energy consumption than previous solutions, and is ozone-free and environmentally friendly.

As the temperature and humidity are kept under constant control, over-drying is avoided. According to the Spanish manufacturer, farmers can expect a return on investment of 1-2 years when using CONSERFRIO.

Video

CONSERFRIO, a grain cooling technology, will be the highlight of the 2024 HETECH Trade Day with a presentation by Joan Rius (CONSERGRA).
