Technologic features of Dryers

An up-to-date grain dryer should have the following features expected by the market and law regulations:

  • drying capacity adaptable to the actual plant size
  • lowest possible quality degradation during the drying process
  • low energy consumption
  • low environmental impact
  • simple operation
  • low investment and maintenance costs
  • proper scaling feature

The construction, operating parameters and control of H-TECH dryers manufactured by our company are continuously developed to make the machine suitable for the above demands on the highest level. In addition our important aim is to adapt the equipment to the grain types and harvesting technologies used in Hungary and in the neighbouring countries, and to the capacity and to other multiple kinds of requirements of the farming companies of various sizes and profiles. Our goal is to establish and install complete drying equipment and its serving and handling technology which has a well scaling feature and which meets all kinds of requirements of the Hungarian other neighbouring countries.

NEW TECHNOLOGICAL FEATURES OF H-TECH DRYER

Special grain column

The most widely spread dryer types in Hungary are the pit type, with cascade air ducts. Against this, the H-TECH dryer module consists of 10 individual grain columns, which have many advantages. With this solution more favourable air flow can be reached so the drying process is more uniform. The special design of the grain deflecting baffles continuously turns over the grain column so no increased thermal stress can be observed at the grains resulting less heat damaged grain and broken grain. Additional advantage of the design that no grain pockets or deposits can be formed which often cause the fire of the dryer.

This design allows modifying the grain flow layer thickness in the drying air flow so this can easily be adjusted to the available thermal and air parameters, helping the best adjustment of the thermal and moisture transfer between the grain and drying air.

Modular design

The dryer consists of modules, which easily can be put to each other, determining the size, so the capacity of the dryer. So the dryer can be can made nearly in any size, providing solution from the smaller farming plants up to the great factory farms. The modules can be manufactured and erected on a simple way, the modules can be erected on the ground level, and the whole dryer can be erected quickly and economically.

Fan installation at multiple locations

Instead of a central fan the dryer has several fans with less capacity, at each module along the height of the dryer. This provides more uniform air delivery with less electric power consumption. Additional advantage of this design that the air delivery of the fans can be modified individually, so it can be adjusted to the various temperature and air flow requirements along the height zones of the dryer.

Continuous unloading

The dryer works in a continuous unloading system. Its advantage that the drying process is constant and can be adjusted easily, there are no temporary overloads at the other elements of the technological chain (on handling machines and cleaners) which can be often observed at the batch unloading system; its additional advantage that no other technological solution is necessary to avoid or handle these peak loads, so the investment and operation costs can be reduced.

Innovative dust control

Each fan of the dryer has an individual dust separator filter. This special design allows making a completely closed dust handling system providing more favourable dust emission than required by the law.

Thermal recovery system

Dryers use great quantity of thermal energy. For the high efficiency of the drying process they use high ratio of excess air, which results a considerable thermal loss with the outlet air. The air recycling system of the H-TECH dryer can retrieve the great part of this amount of heat, as the recirculation is performed in the internal part of the dryer under high temperature, eliminating the application of the long, external air ducts with great heat loss. Opposed to the traditional solutions the dryer recycled the heat not only from the cooling zone, but from the lower part of the dryer, from the hot air.
